Home Runs with Heart
UPDATE

On Thursday, August 18, 2011, R.Russell Atamian of Atamian Honda of Tewksbury presented a check to Dr. Murray Feingold, Founder and President of The Genesis Fund. The donation is the culmination of Home Runs with Heart, a season long program the Spinners and Atamian have in place to raise awareness for the Genesis Fund; each home run by the Spinners brought with it a donation from Atamian.  Joining R. Russell Atamian and Dr. Murray Feingold for the presentation was Tim Bawmann, the General Manager of the Lowell Spinners, Annie Latham of The Genesis Fund, and the Murphy family, whose son Zachary has been helped by Dr. Feingold and The Genesis Fund.  The Murphy’s enjoyed a night at the ballpark and a meet and greet with the Spinners players on the field of LeLacheur Park.  R. Russell Atamian commented on the success of the partnership, “We enjoyed working with the Spinners on behalf of the Genesis Fund.  With a number of games remaining let’s hope the Spinners knock some more balls out of the park!”
Atamian Honda, Inc. of Tewksbury, has partnered with the Lowell Spinners, the Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox to provide support and raise awareness for the Genesis Fund.

“We have partnered with the Lowell Spinners for the entire season to provide ongoing support for the Genesis Fund,” said Mr. R.Russell Atamian, President of Atamian Honda, Inc.  “Each time a Lowell Spinners player hits a home run this season, Atamian Honda will make a contribution to the Genesis Fund.”

According to Tim Bawmann, President and General Manager of the Spinners, “The Spinners are pleased to team up with Atamian Honda this season to benefit the Genesis Fund.  While we don’t have the Green Monster to hit homeruns over in Lowell, we hope our players set a team record this season as Atamian Honda has graciously offered a contribution to the Genesis Fund.  Together we all make a winning team!”

“The Genesis Fund was founded to help Children in New England with specialized medical treatment, and we knew that we would not have been able to accomplish this without our corporate contributions and fundraising events,” said Dr. Murray Feingold, founder of The Genesis Fund.”

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Genesis Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing specialized care to New England area children born with birth defects, genetic diseases and intellectual disabilities. Since its inception in 1982, The Genesis Fund has helped thousands of families through The Feingold Center for Children and its satellite clinics, the Pregnancy Exposure Info-Line and the Therapy and the Performing Arts program on Cape Cod. None of this could be accomplished without your kindness and support.

The Spinners season opens Friday, June 17, 2011 at LeLacheur Park.  The Spinners are also hosting this seasons New York-Penn League All Star Game on August 16, 2011.
